Houston-based, conservative culture warrior, Tex Christopher has filed a lawsuit in district court to stop the “drag queen story time” events for children at the Houston Public Library (HPL).
Christopher has risen to prominence in Houston for leading efforts against former Mayor Annise Parker and her neo-morality H.E.R.O. ordinance. More recently, Christopher has focused his efforts on stopping the proliferation of sex robot parlors in Houston.
For several months, HPL has been scheduling “drag queen story time” events and Houston social conservatives have been fighting back. The next event is scheduled on 27 December at the Montrose Branch of HPL.
Christopher’s lawsuit argues that the government is in violation of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution by promoting a religion. He believes that the neo-morality movement is actually the practice of human secularism and is a religious sect.
In his interview on RagingElephantsRadio.com, Christopher stated of his motivation, “The library and the mayor have said that, look, this is going to be the official religion of our city, of our government, of our state. The official party is going to be the Democrat Party. I’m the peson that’ll tell someone to ‘back off’. Enough is enough. And, it’s wrong. And, I’m calling you out on it.
“We’re taking you to court.”
