2015:  Important Year to Protest Your Property Value

The real estate market has been robust so expect notices from the county appraisal district that your property value is up over last year. Although many had hoped that the more than 100 tea party supported candidates who have taken office in the Texas Senate and House over the last three legislative sessions would finally act to lessen the pain of appraisal creep, a future with lower appraisal caps doesn’t look good for the 84th Session. Nullification: The Rightful Remedy  as presented by The Tenth Amendment Center

 
Thomas Jefferson warned that if the federal government is allowed to hold a monopoly on determining the extent of its own powers, we have no right to be surprised when it keeps discovering new ones. If the federal government has the exclusive right to judge the extent of its own powers, it will continue to grow – regardless of elections, the separation of powers, and other much-touted limits on government power. In his Report of 1800, James Madison reminded Americans that the judicial branch was not infallible, and that some remedy must be found for those cases in which all three branches of the federal government exceed their constitutional limits.

 
That remedy is nullification:  the states can and must refuse to enforce unconstitutional federal laws.  It is their duty.
